Basically what the title says. I'm starting a fan project that is basically taking the script of Phoenix Wright and turning it into a comic, except with all the characters in Sonic the Hedgehog design. I've already got some concept art drawn, but I've only had the chance to post some of it on the Internet.

The reason this topic is here is because I need some help finding animals to draw the characters as. Sure it's "Phoenix Wright the Hedgehog" but even the "Sonic the Hedgehog" universe isn't made completely of hedgehogs.

Here's a list of the characters who animals that have already been decided:

Phoenix Wright - Hedgehog
Miles Edgeworth - Hedgehog
The Feys - Rabbits
Larry Butz - Fox
Frank Sahwit - Chameleon
Dick Gumshoe - Great Dane
Will Powers - Werehog
The von Karmas - Bats
Jake Marshall - Mongoose
Matt Engarde - Dhole (Fox-hound)
Godot - Hedgehog
Furio Tigre - Hedgehog

As you can see, the list is very short. Meaning I need a lot of help. If you want, suggest a type of animal for a character or critique the ones I've already decided; I'm open for discussion. Also, you can post concept art to help me understand the image you would want to see in the comic. You can also do some sketches of some characters I've already decided if you want.

Another thing I was planning on doing was making short comic strips at the end of each "issue" (an issue is the length of one half of one regular case or one starting case). The comic strips would be humor based, poking fun at a joke or line shown in the issue it follows. Kind of like the short comic strips they had at the end of the Kingdom Hearts manga, if you've ever read it. If you want you can suggest an idea for one of theses comic strips.

As you've probably noticed, I'm being very open with this project, so if anyone wants to come in a post something, whether it be concept art, a suggestion, or a question, go ahead. I need a lot of help on this project so I welcome everyone to pitch in and help.

Godot - Albino lion (mabye a bit smaller and sleek than Will)
Meekins - Mouse
Oldman with the hat (forgott his name - he is in 1-4) - Sloth
Cody Hackins - Meercat
Shelly de Killer - Penguin
Dahlia - Mabye a bird?
Jean - Idk why, but a cow comes to mind when I see him XD
Apollo - DEFINATELY a Cockatoo
Klavier - A t-rex comes to mind when I see him
Wocky - A beaver mabye?
Daryan - A shark
Shi-Long - A wolf

Aaaand thats all I got. Also, I'd love to do some sketches of some of theese, it would be sooo fun XD

Well I like drawing a lot - I have a fanart thread btw - and normally I dont know what to draw, so this would be something to do.
Anyway, Ihad a go at Phoenix. I made him look a bit like sonic, but not exactly the same. Just tell me if hes not good enough :)

If you wanted to try sketching Gumshoe, I wouldn't mind. I already have a few sketches of him, but I'd prefer seeing another artist's rendition of a Great Dane Gumshoe first before I posted any official concept art.

Also, another thing. I was planning on getting started on this project before my birthday, but to do that I need some animals for Payne, the Judge, and Cindy Stone (the victim). So if you could think of any animals for them (and maybe post some concept art), it'd be a big help.

Like I said before, the judge would make an excellent Chao. And if you're going to have a series with "Sonic" in the name, you need a Chao. You saw my quick sketches before. XD

Payne seems like some sort of cut-throat animal. Maybe another fox? That or some sort of wild-cat. *shrugs*

Considering when you think "bat" you think "Rouge" and when you think "Rouge" you don't think about a very modest girl, maybe Cindy could be a bat?

I still need to get the games, just going of the wikia. T^T ^^;

He's not gonna be a chao! I can't take him seriously when he's a chao!

...Payne as a cat...I'll consider that.

Well, she's a victim, so I guess that would work out. I mean you only get to see her in the prologue page and in flashback panels.
